Havea Brasiliensis is the scientific name for Rubberwood and is well known for the production of latex. It is known as a medium density hardwood  and is also known as Malaysian Oak. Developments have been made in the treatment of rubberwood for fungal an dinsect attacks and because oif the plethora of rubber plantations throughout Asia and Africa it is a ribust and cheap material with great furniture construction qualities. Our chairs are glued, screwed and stapled with a high density foam and the use of your choice of 100% leather (no Synthetic or faux leather - vinyl is used). Wit hstout construction you will get years of use from your  dining chairs with normal domestic use.
